It's been a while
It has been a while since I have posted.. spending too much time on FB. hmmm what to post. Well, I am still doing vinyl, and if anyone is interested in gifts for Christmas or anytime, e-mail me or leave a comment. There are many ideas and vinyl is fun for any occasion as well as home decor. Good on tiles, wood, walls, glass, ornaments.. Let me know I have posted a couple of ideas that I have done lately. Also, I have been sewing and have made a few cute pillows also some purses * small quilts, that look cute as wall hangings. I will take orders for most anything. thanks for looking. :)

Haircut
Kevin cut my hair, it finally has some sort of style. He did a good job, maybe we will send him to beauty school and we can open a Husband and wife salon!! ;) He probably would be very good at it as he is a perfectionist. I will give him all the precision cuts.. After looking at the picture.. maybe I'll send him to plastic surgeon school!! I think that I need help more in that area than anyting :( I didn' t realize my face was going to be in this picute so much or I would havde at least smiled.. sorrry...

Yo Yo pillow top
This is a pillow top made by sewing yo yo's together to the size desired. the yo yo's are made from circles and done by hand. Time consuming but a lot of fun!

1 year to Celebrate

These are some from when I was having my radiation treatments. You can see how I layed in what they call a cradle and every day I would go in and lay down in the cradle and get burned!!. My skin was so raw.. and burnt. It is just all part of the process to getting rid of the Cancer. Also, Kerstin did the Cancer walk in my honor. It is such a great cause and I am so grateful to all those who take time out of their lives to bennefit others who can't do it for themselves. LIVE STRONG!! Lance Armstrong

One yr ago

Yes, it has been 1 year since I finished my Chemotherapy and radiation treatments for Breast Cancer. Here are some pictures of last year and how far I have come in that time. I have much to be grateful for and especially for the constant love and support from Kevin. He took such good care of me and made sure I was as comfortable as possible during a difficult time for both of us. He would lay beside me and keep me warm. I also have the best kids in the world. I was so lucky to get a daily phone call from them to let me know they loved me and were hoping I was ok.. They are the BEST!!

The vintage bike for the "Vintage" Woman

OK, so Kevin has been wanting me to get a bike and go Mt. biking with him for quite some time now. So, I said "ok" as long as I can get the bike of my choice. The BLUE bike is cute right? Well, needless to say the bike I chose is NOT meant for Leadville type of biking. I don't care: it is so cute and when I get my basket on I will have a pic of me and my basket of flowers, going on our bike ride. The dogs love it because they can run right along with us. Now,for me well...... I get very much out of breath 1st because we are up so high and second I dont' have the right kind of bike. OH well it is so cute.
OH and p.s. If it would ever stop raining here maybe I will be able to use the bike. So, stay tuned.... you are in for a real treat :)

What a Great chair

Speaking of Vintage, Is this not the cutest settee' (Love seat) EVER I just love it, Someone took an old quilt and recovered the settee' The pattern is called Dresden Plate 30's 40's era. I am in the process of making one with the same pattern, It is done by using the english paper piecing method. ALL by hand like the one I made out of the hexigons. What a fun way to quilt and piece.

Vintage tea pot and cake platter

I don't usually post pictures of my decor, but this is something so cute and special I just had to post so Jason and Kerstin could see the new home I found for the darling Mother's day gift I received from them. I just love it!! I already had the scales, and have been looking for a cake platter (from the 30's 40's era) The platter and teapot go perfect in my kitchen. Thanks again.

Jared's Soccer Quilt
This is the ONLY pic I took of the quilt I made for Jared, (I can't believe I didn't think to take one when I finished it.) I just forget:)Chemo Brain!
Anyway, I took most of his old soccer jerseys and printed a few pics on some. Then I just created a quilt from them, and for the back I used his very favorite blanket,(everyones favorite) a quilt made for me 30yrs ago by his great grandmother petersen. So, needless to say it turned out great! It is more of a sentimental quilt than a prize. I am so glad I could do it for him. I presented it to him at his wedding dinner, that was held at the Lion House in SLC. Here is a copy of the poem I wrote to go with the Quilt.
